The 'Present Continuous'

 

Positive (+)

I am
you, we, they are
he, she, it is
VERB + ing

e.g. I am running / we are working / she is eating...

 

 

Negative (-)

I am
you, we, they are
he, she, it is
NOT VERB + ing

e.g. I am not running / we are not working / she is not eating...

 

 

Question (?)

Am I
Are you, we, they
Is he, she, it
VERB + ing...?

e.g. Am I running...? / Are we working...? / Is she eating...?

 

The 'Present Continuous' is used for things which are happening now or are only temporary.
